QUENTIN MOSIMANN a définitivement remporté son « Duel », prouvant qu'il était possible de vivre au-delà du quart d'heure de célébrité. Insaisissable et inattendu, fourmillant d’idées, voilà un artiste qui peut se faire discret mais croque aussi la vie à pleines dents et apprécie les coups d’éclat. Aujourd’hui, il a trouvé le son qui lui est propre, et il l’exhibe fièrement sur son nouvel album « Exhibition » dépassant les clivages musicaux.
Dans des sonorités électro house et à tendance minimales progressives, ce premier DJ-chanteur, remixeur et auteur-compositeur a su allier ses talents de musicien, ses platines et surtout sa voix pour offrir un véritable show au public. Ainsi, des collaborations artistiques prestigieuses associées à l’enthousiasme du public, sont un tremplin sans précédent: Fred Rister ("Love is gone", "When Love Takes Over" réalisé avec David Guetta, son premier single "Cherchez le garçon"), Tocadisco ("Tomorrow can wait", "Walking away"), Tepr et Grandmarnier, DJ Furax (pour qui il a produit "Orange Theme" et "Big Orgus remix"), Eric Laville et Alexis Dante ("Mario Bros") et plus récemment, DJ Antoine (nouveau titre "What Did I Say") et Sir Colin ("Scratch Da House Showbizz").

Today, he has found his own sound and shows it off proudly on his new album « Exhibition » that defines his own genre.
Between his electro house sound and progressive minimal, this really first DJ-singer, author/composer, remixer has proven his talent as a musician and vocalist, always entertaining the public. Nicht so Mosimann. Seitdem er mit seinem außergewöhnlichen Gesang die französische TV-Show « Star Academy » gewann, geht es für ihn beständig bergauf. Denn von Anfang an besaß Quentin etwas, dass ihn von anderen Siegern unterschied: Originalität. Authentizität. Sowie den Mut, unbeirrt seinen musikalisch eigenen Weg zu gehen.

Als DJ-Singer hat sich der Franzose nicht nur ein eigenes Universum aus House, Electro und Minimal Tech geschaffen. Vielmehr gehört er einer neuen Generation multitalentierter DJs an, die unter höchstem Körpereinsatz ein Show-Feuerwerk aus Klang, Tanz und Gesang niederbrennen. Auf nie dagewesene Weise bedient er CDJ- und nextbeat-Player und spielt wie besessen Riffs auf seinem Mini-Synthesizer ein. Mosimanns heizt ein. Mosimann peitscht auf. So hat das 1988 in Genf geborene Energiebündel mit Anfang Zwanzig schon mehr erreicht, als manch Artist, der kurz vor der Rente steht. Mit gerademal 17 Jahren brachte er bereits die Clubber an der französischen Riviera in Fahrt. Auch formierte er sich hier als „John Louly“ zusammen mit seinen Freunden Christian Sims und John Revox zum Vocal-infernalen DJ-Trio „Hot Vocation”. 2007 folgte besagter Star Academy-Sieg. Flankiert vom Debüt-Longplayer „Duel“, auf dem Quentin seine musikalischen Präferenzen, vor allem der 80er, in Remixen gegenüberstellte. Ein Doppelalbum mit Chartstürmern wie „Cherchez Le Garçon“, das die Chartplatzierungen Eins und Zwei in Belgien und Frankreich erklomm sowie zweifachen Gold-Status errang. Spätestens seit der ausverkauften „Duel-Tour 2009“ schließlich stehen Quentins Auftritte in dem Ruf, die weithin Spektakulärsten zu sein. Sowohl in seiner Heimat Schweiz, über Frankreich und Spanien hinweg bis ins angrenzende Belgien hinein.

Auch sein jüngster Longplayer „Exhibition“ (2010) mit Hits wie „Gimme A Break“ ist in beiden Ländern in die Top 10 eingestiegen. Als Sänger, DJ, Komponist und Remixer in Personalunion seien Mosimanns erfolgreiche Kooperationen mit renommierten Artists wie Tocadisco, DJ Antoine, Sir Colin oder auch David Guetta-Produzent Fred Rister ebenfalls hervorgehoben. Dennoch können Studioproduktionen niemals das wiedergeben, was Quentin live so reizvoll macht. Die Art, wie er auf der Bühne agiert und mit dem Publikum kommuniziert, dürfte europaweit einzigartig sein. So füllt er inzwischen Arenen wie das Pariser Olympia Theatre und bricht immer neue Besucherrekorde – die aktuelle Höchstmarke liegt bei 45.000.
